When you hear people say you have everything you need in your inner world/self and to go within, that's helpful, but what they don't tell you is how to get there. The key to engaging your inner world is to bring greater awareness of your subconscious.
Your inner world connects to all the power in your subconsciousness, and your subconsciousness is a highly spiritual locale. The belief that spirituality is an external force is a misconception. In reality, your spirituality is nestled in your subconscious within that beautiful body, mind, soul, and spirit of yours, coupled with all the energy those parts of you generate. Whatever you may seek outside of yourself, it all begins with a profound inquiry from within. Think of your inner world as an umbilical cord that connects you to your subconsciousness. Picture it that way in your mind's eye in a way that makes sense to you.
Don't shy away from your inner self. As uncomfortable as it can be to be still, acknowledge the truths you've hidden from yourself, and admit hurt and pain, doing so connects more of you to you. So be fully present with whatever comes up when you engage your inner self (and of course take care of yourself accordingly), and over time, learn to be even more present with your inner self than you are with your outer self. The best way to do this is to spend time alone. Silence invites that harmony between your inner subconscious and outer conscious worlds and self.
Considering that we spend all day with ourselves walking around in our bodies, you'd think we'd spend time alone with ourselves since we have 24-hour access, but really, we don't. The outer conscious world has countless distractions through our five primary senses that are seductive and highly engaging. These outer expressions include deeds and actions, and behaviors that are directly observable and within your immediate environment. It's not usually quality time with ourselves.
Our inner subconscious world minimizes the five primary senses. Just close your eyes right now as a demonstration of how much is physically minimized when you close your eyes, which naturally increases our awareness of the non-physical and invites engagement of the intuitive Clair senses. We minimize our primary senses in other ways, too, when we are aware of how distracting it can be. For example, some people have to turn the sound on their television down or turn music off to think clearly. It's fun to engage all the outer conscious expressions, but it's even more powerful to learn how to balance how much you engage your outer conscious world with how much you engage your inner subconscious world. Remember that.
Intuition lives in your subconscious; understanding it makes it conscious, transforming it into a valuable asset in your outer world. Its depth is a product of the experiences you have lived in your physical body, beginning in utero, as your body is wise enough to remember. When you are with yourself in your inner world, it is highly quality time. You can connect with anything you want to: ancestors, cosmic consciousness, archetypes, angels, any part of yourself, and any realm of the unseen world that you want to connect with.
P.S. I lost my Substack voice for a while when I was more serious than usual, and I'm getting it back now. That taught me something about myself, too, as my life had been so serious, my writing was more serious, too. I didn't know I did that.
XO,
